Low-Temp Flapper Roller Frame for Magnetic Level Gauge in Ship Refrigeration System
The low-temperature flip bead rack on the magnetic flip plate (magnetic flip column) level gauge of the ship refrigeration system is the core component of the local indicator part of the level gauge - that is, the low-temperature resistant guide rail/frame installed along the length direction of the measuring cylinder, accommodating the dual color magnetic flip bead (magnetic flip column) and guiding it to flip and display. It does not directly participate in liquid level detection, but rather serves as an actuator carrier that converts changes in the float's magnetic field into visual readings of the "red white (or red green) boundary line".
It is a specialized guide rail bracket for the magnetic flap level gauge in the low-temperature refrigeration pipeline of ships, which enables the two-color flip column to flip, align, freeze without cracking, and be clearly visible.
Structure
The main body is a long strip guide rail/frame (aluminum alloy profile or fiberglass reinforced engineering plastic), arranged along the entire length of the liquid level gauge measuring cylinder on the observation side.
Two color magnetic flip beads (flip pieces) are evenly embedded in the guide rail - each small column contains a magnet and is coated with red/white (or red/green) colors on the outside.
The float inside the measuring cylinder rises and falls with the liquid level, and the magnetic coupling drives the corresponding height of the flipping bead to flip 180 degrees. After flipping, the color of the top surface exposed represents "the liquid level is here", and the red and white boundary is the real-time liquid level line.
The "rack" itself does not directly measure the liquid level. Its function is to guide, limit, prevent jamming, prevent frost and cover the flipping beads, and ensure that the flipping beads can still be flexibly flipped after low-temperature shrinkage.
Principle
Dozens to hundreds of dual color magnetic flip columns are evenly arranged inside the bead flipping rack, with different colors at both ends of each column and embedded with magnetic steel inside.
The float inside the cylinder rises and falls with the level of refrigerant/refrigerant, and the magnetic field coupling causes the corresponding height of the flip column to flip 180 ° around the axis, causing the top surface to change color and form a continuous liquid level scale.
The bead flipping frame provides a flipping column positioning groove, shaft support, and limiting surface to ensure that the flipping column does not tilt, overlap, or detach from the track at low temperatures.
Targeted Design Points for "Low Temperature"
The marine refrigeration side (R717/R134a/R404A/ethylene glycol, etc.) is often at -40 ℃ to -60 ℃, and the liquid cargo grade can reach -160 ℃. Ordinary models will fail:
Frame material: Low temperature tough aluminum alloy profiles or PEEK/PTFE modified engineering plastics are used instead of room temperature PVC/ABS to prevent cold brittleness cracking and asynchronous shrinkage with the cylinder.
Flip column and shaft sleeve: equipped with self-lubricating antifreeze sleeve or low-temperature silicone grease to avoid freezing and locking; Low temperature non demagnetizing grades such as samarium cobalt are used for magnetic steel. Structural compensation: Elastic clamps or expansion joints are installed between the frame and the measuring cylinder to absorb cold shrinkage gaps and prevent cold frost and paste from forming.
Observation side: often equipped with anti frost transparent cover or local electric heat tracing groove (under extremely low temperature conditions).
Application Location
Magnetic flap level gauges for low-pressure circulation tanks, reservoirs, intercoolers, evaporator return sight glasses, etc. in refrigeration systems;
Cold storage compartment saltwater/ethylene glycol buffer tank level gauge;
Cryogenic grade (PEEK frame+samarium cobalt magnetic column) is used for low-temperature tanks of LNG ships.
